JOB DESCRIPTION
In the Department of Environment and Community Building, about 30 employees work with issues related to everything from water management, waste, and climate adaptation to infrastructure, public transport, and climate. Through good planning, the Gothenburg Region can grow in a way that benefits future generations as well. The regional perspective permeates everything we do. We work extensively through our networks consisting of officials from our 13 member municipalities. There is always a lot going on with us, and to thrive here, you need to be development-oriented and enjoy working in a structured way even when there are not so clear frameworks. We all work with issues that engage and have fun at work.
The Gothenburg Region has, among other things, the task of carrying out secretariat services and action coordination for the water management associations in the Gothenburg Region. We are now looking for a regional planner focusing on water management issues for a project employment. You will be part of a team that focuses on water management issues, and in this role, you will have direct contact with landowners, municipalities, county administrative boards, and other stakeholders.
Your assignment includes, among other things, administering and coordinating networks, working groups, projects, and processes. As a regional planner, you have sensitivity, decisiveness, and development as guiding principles, and you enjoy finding new approaches to challenges in water management.
Examples of tasks:
- Conduct board meetings, annual meetings, and water management activities
- Compile reports
- Participate in, drive, and initiate development projects
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct local meetings for landowners
- Strategic work to increase the pace of water management measures
- Administer websites for water management associations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Biologist with a limnological focus or equivalent education in environment and/or water, alternatively work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
- Relevant work experience in the field with an understanding of agricultural, farming, and landowner conditions
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Driving license B
